Orkugjafi | Binaural Delta Meditation
Orkugjafi is an experimental audiovisual work combining synthesised sound, environmental recordings and generative visual systems.
Created as part of the EØD EP, the project explores the relationship between sound, movement and perception through an evolving sequence of rhythmic visual forms. Pulsing structures emerge from darkness and dissolve into abstract fields of colour and texture, creating a visual language that unfolds in direct dialogue with the composition.
Underground recordings and environmental sounds provide a grounding presence within the work, contrasting synthetic sonic elements with familiar traces of everyday experience. Rather than illustrating a narrative, the piece investigates how sound and image can shape attention, atmosphere and immersion through repetition, duration and gradual transformation.
Developed during a period of intensive experimentation with audiovisual systems, Orkugjafi reflects an early interest in perception, sensory experience and the relationship between sound and moving image. Many of these themes continue to inform my practice today through immersive installations and responsive environments.
