Breaking Borders was an award-winning exhibition curated by Valeria Ceregini at GOMA Gallery, Ireland, exploring the intersection of diverse narratives and contemporary artistic practices.
Invited to art direct the exhibition's closing event, I collaborated with artist Jas Singh on SABOTAGE, a livestreamed audiovisual performance broadcast from The Generator, Loughborough, to audiences at GOMA Gallery. Combining lighting, visual direction and spatial staging, the project translated a site-specific performance into a shared experience across geographical boundaries.
The work explored the potential of networked performance and remote participation, using live broadcast technologies to connect audiences, artists and venues across national borders. The project formed part of an ongoing interest in creating collective experiences that extend beyond a single physical location.
