NONLINEARTHE Virtual Gallery is an online exhibition environment developed to extend and document the NONLINEARTHE project beyond the physical gallery space.
Accessible through both web browsers and VR headsets, the gallery allows visitors to navigate a series of interconnected environments containing digital artworks, audiovisual experiences and process documentation. Rather than replicating the physical exhibition directly, the project reimagines the gallery as an explorable virtual space where visitors can move freely between works and construct their own experience.
The project investigated how exhibition design, architecture and digital media could combine to create meaningful encounters outside traditional gallery settings. Through spatial navigation, immersive environments and audience agency, the work explored new possibilities for experiencing art online.
Developed during a period of experimentation with virtual and mixed reality platforms, the project reflects an early interest in immersive environments and participatory experience. Many of the questions explored through the gallery, including navigation, spatial storytelling and audience interaction, continue to inform my installation practice today.
