Experiments | Accessibility Studies ( Pt2 )
An experimental exploration of audio-reactive generative text in TouchDesigner, developed as part of a collaborative accessibility project with Jas Singh following his live performance at the Attenborough Arts Centre in Leicester, 2021. This piece investigates how typography can become a dynamic, responsive medium that reacts to sonic input in real-time.
The work uses audio analysis to drive text generation and animation, creating visual representations that translate the artist's experience of disability into kinetic textual forms. Text elements respond to frequency content, amplitude, and rhythmic patterns, embodying the complexity and variability of neurodivergent perception through responsive typography.
This experiment examines how generative text systems can serve as a medium for disability expression, allowing the artist to communicate aspects of neurodivergence that might be invisible or difficult to articulate through traditional means. The project represents an investigation into digital art as a tool for disability visibility and representation.
