Experiments - Arpegiyo (Beatless Version)
An audiovisual composition originally created for a live performance with Leonie DuBarry-Gurr, Luke Broughton, David Conrad, Dhonau & Matt Rogerson, supporting CLT DRP & Maybeshewill at the Islington Assembly Rooms, London.
This beatless version strips away rhythmic elements to focus on binaural frequencies across Delta, Theta, and Alpha ranges, creating an immersive brainwave entrainment experience. Audio-driven visuals, built using TouchDesigner and Ableton, respond directly to the frequency spectrum and tonal shifts in the composition.
The title draws from the artist's heritage ( Harper ) - "Arpegiyo" is a Hindu translation of "arpeggio," derived from the Italian "arpeggiare," meaning "to play on a harp." This cultural bridge reflects the piece's exploration of musical tradition through contemporary electronic processing and visual synthesis.
A meditative reimagining of live performance material, investigating the intersection of cultural musical heritage and modern brainwave entrainment techniques.
