Experiments | Accessibility Studies ( Pt1 )

An experimental accessibility project developed in collaboration following Jas Singh's live performance at the Attenborough Arts Centre in Leicester, 2021. This work investigates how projection mapping in TouchDesigner can serve accessibility goals by translating performance and identity into interactive visual forms that reach different audiences.
The piece uses video content mapped onto animated 3D objects, creating fragmented visual representations that explore themes of identity and visibility. Stark compositions with bright elements emerging from black backgrounds reflect the process of making aspects of personal narrative tangible through digital projection.
This experiment examines how projection mapping technology can break down barriers between performance and audience, transforming abstract concepts of identity into accessible visual experiences. The work represents an early investigation into how immersive digital art can serve inclusivity by offering multiple ways to engage with artistic content.
